Oranga Tamariki-Ministry for Children is the Ministry that supports the most at-risk children and young people in New Zealand. About the role:

The Advisor PfO position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with and support providers and communities at a regional and local level to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, families and communities. 
You will be supporting the provision of services to families and communities by developing and managing contracts with those who provide the services. Monitoring of performance will include a strong focus on outcomes being achieved. 


Your excellent communication skills will enable you to engage with stakeholders and build strong relationships. Important to this role is the ability to work in a collaborative and innovative way in cross-agency settings.  Knowledge of the coordination, delivery or contracting of social services would be useful.
You may come from a background working in the social/health/education sectors either as a public servant or in an NGO setting. A relevant tertiary qualification or suitable experience is preferred, an ability to work with ambiguity and move quickly in a dynamic environment. A working knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the implications of these for the work of Oranga Tamariki are important.
