Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role

 

We’re looking for a commercially savvy Senior Advisor Procurement to lead procurement and sourcing initiatives for the Social Investment Agency (SIA) and Social Investment Fund (SIF). You’ll drive cost-effective purchasing, manage vendor relationships and contracts, and ensure procurement processes align with organisational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead procurement planning, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
  • Provide value-for-money analysis and ensure compliance with procurement best practices.
  • Develop and improve procurement standards, policies, and reporting.
  • Identify and manage procurement-related risks and support assurance processes.

You’ll have a relevant tertiary qualification and strong procurement experience, particularly in setting up procurement functions, systems, and processes. You understand the Government Rules of Sourcing, procurement principles, and risk management.

 

You're a clear communicator and trusted relationship builder, with sound judgement and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Adaptable and resilient, you thrive in complexity and bring a collaborative, inclusive approach. You’re politically aware, committed to continuous improvement, and open to learning about social investment and kaupapa Māori.

Utu ā-tau | Salary

 

Min $104,885 - Mid $123,394 - Max $148,073
