The Social Investment Agency (SIA) is looking for a dynamic Director – System Coordination and Design to lead a team at the forefront of system transformation.

 

About Us:

As a central agency, SIA is responsible for system stewardship, standard setting, and investment advice. Our System Performance and Investment Advice Group works closely with Ministers to design and influence the social system, ensuring investments are targeted and effective.

 

The Role:

As Director – System Coordination and Design, you will lead a team delivering:

 

  • Policy Advice on System Design and Implementation: Provide advice on the settings needed to support the Social Investment Fund, identify system barriers, and recommend changes to improve outcomes for people receiving social services.
  • Strategy and Governance: Support Ministerial groups and cross-agency coordination, provide strategic direction for the Fund and broader system, and enable senior leaders to contribute effectively to collective decision-making.

 

You’ll work closely with the Deputy Chief Executive and the Director – Investment and Performance to translate strategic plans into operational deliverables, manage business planning, and oversee budgets and policies.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven leadership in policy, strategy, or system design roles
  • Strong understanding of government systems and cross-agency coordination
  • Experience advising Ministers and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to turn complex challenges into actionable advice
  • A commitment to improving social outcomes through system change

 

Salary range: $201,025.00 - $283,800.00

Starting salaries are negotiated based on relevant skills and experience, with offers generally made between $201 025 and $236 500.
